I have a Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro X which I assembled some time ago and managed to print a few small things. I then had trouble with the nozzle jamming up. I bought a newer version of the nozzel and have just fitted it. All went well and the printer produced several small items OK.

However, I have been trying a large design lately. I printed it small initially and it was OK, but every time I go to print it full size (220mm x 100mm) the second layer doesn’t all stick properly to the first. Also, not all the first layer lines are stuck together so the lines of extruded plastic are a bit like the strings of a harp!

I am usin ABS and a have tried nozzle temps from 220 to 240 deg C, bed temp indicates 110 deg C, but my surface temperature reader measures it at only about 90 deg.

Like I say, small models seem to print OK, but this large one seems to be a problem. Any ideas gratefully accepted…
