Hi, I am a technology teacher for K-8 and am currently working on 3D printing with students in grades 3-8. We use TinkerCAD and SketchUp for designing and then I have students send the .stl files to me for use.

I am looking for recommendations on a new printer. I want to try and stay at around $1000.

I need something with a decent-sized plate so I can fit multiple projects on at one time to reduce print times for my overall class. This printer will also be used heavily.

Currently I have a CubeProDuo (I love the size, but that is all… so many issues with this), and a Mod-t (great quality, easy to use, but tiny capacity).

Trying to decide if I should use my budget to buy a few more Mod-t’s or use it all on one higher quality printer. Looking at the Flashforge Dreamer but it seems like it’s not very big either.

Anyone have advice for me?

I’m a Ultimaker addicted, I love this printer but it’s expensive. I would recommend you to consider Original Prusa i3 mk2, my friend got it recently and it has a soberb results using his software based on Cura Engine and it is just $699 dolares. This printer has also a high rated customs avaliation:
