I have a Wanhoa i3 Duplicator and am having some issues with it and need some help!

It is kind of a long story but I will try to keep it short.

So one day I was printing and smelled a electrical burning smell so I stopped the print and took the bottom off of the housing to look inside to see if something was burning but didn’t see any signs of burning so I let it sit for a little while and then turned it back on and let it idle for a few minutes and didn’t smell anything. So I went to preheat the printer and as soon as I clicked the button to preheat the screen went black…so I called my local printer shop that I bought the printer from and they said to bring it down and they will have a look at it and get it fixed…well they had my printer for like 4 months and then finally called saying they got a new screen and it was done…I got down there and they turned it on and the screen was on but the back light wasn’t so he took it apart and flipped the switch on the side of the screen for the back light and turned it on again and the screen was lit up for about 3 seconds and the screen was out again…so I just took the printer home because I was sick of them having it and not getting anything done on it. So here is where I am confused…I am not fully convinced the screen has gone out because when it isn’t even plugged in and I move the bed back and forth the screen flashes, back light and all, there is nothing displayed but it lights up for about a second. I can’t even get the printer to connect to a computer to see if it will print or not…am I missing something???
