Hello, i’m a PhD student in Neuroscience, and in the last two years we got some interest in 3d printing in order to build our customized lab equipment.
We started with a Prusa I3 hephestos kit, and during the last year i id several upgrades to the machine, such as lead screws for z axis, e3d v6 hotend, titan extruder and frame stabilizers.
Now i would like to use also other print filaments than PLA and i need a heated bed.
I would like to exclude the upgrade kit from BQ because it is very expensive, so i would like to buy the arts and build my own heated bed.
I searched all around for some guides, but i’m still not sure about which heated buy or what other components are needed to do it.
Can any of you suggest me a good heated bed (to print PLA composite materials, ABS, Poly-carbonate) and a guide explaining the parts i need to assembly the bed?
