Hello, I was wondering your opinions on 3D printing carbon fiber reinforced PLA with brands such as ColorFabb or Proto-Pasta on the Flash Forge Creator Pro. Also would it be able to print a part such as a clutch lever for a dirt bike?

FlashForge nozzles aren’t made of stainless steel. The general rule for these machines are anything under 235 temp for printing and you’re golden. Once you start going above that the metal starts disintegrating and releases toxic matter into the air from the material breaking down. Eventually it’ll also malfunction in die. So while in theory it is possible, it’s always best to check your printing temps the material requires. If you need to go over 235, consider purchasing and installing a E3v6.

I have a FlashForge Dreamer and I intend to print carbon fibre filament with it but first I’m going to make a nozzle out of beryllium copper, if I succeed at drilling the .4mm hole in it, that is.

Could I just replace the right extruder with the E3v6?

Carbon Fibre PLA doesn’t require temps above 220°C to extrude properly, generally speaking it prints like normal PLA. I would grab a sample and try some test prints with the material first, that way you will know it’s limitations with your CreatorPro. Also, I would recommend purchasing a couple of extra nozzles, just in case.

We have printed carbon fiber from http://www.proto-pasta.com/

You can also but the nozzle from them as well, it works great.

If you use our code during check out you can save $7 but only

good till the end of month. Code: COKREEATE

With all due respect, all I see is this URL spammed with the same comment in Flash Forge nozzle posts. If you’re trying to drive traffic to your promotional web front its really annoying to see these advertisements here.

I do apologize if you think it’s spam.

The question was asked if FF can print carbon fiber.

I just did a copy and paste. As for the promo code we don’t get anything out of it

other than you guys saving $7. Also the website I listed isn’t our its Proto-pasta where

the code can be used to save some money. Figure I’m just helping someone save some cash.
