I just bought a new Anet A8 printer and assembled it. I quadruple checked that everything is correct but it still doesn’t work. When I select something to print from the sd card, the printer says “printing…0%” for a second, then goes back the original “printer ready” notification. I tried doing the program “preheat PLA” but then it will heat up and never stop saying “preheat PLA”.

Does anyone know whats wrong?

Hi, I think the problem is either the wiring or the mainboard. I’d double check that all cables are in the right places - especially the temperature sensors - and then test each single function. Set the bed temperature and check if it gets warm by display data and/or hand, also with the extruder temp (if by hand very carefully) and try to move the axis motors (x/y/z/extruder) via the menu. I don’t have the original firmware installed on my A8 so I don’t no where to find these functions in the menu, but I know there’s a facebook group with a lot of A8 owners where you might get more specific help.
